We promote national health technology assessment (HTA) research

• by co-ordinating research
• by disseminating information and
• by giving methodological and financial support for research projects.

The whole HTA process is more than a mere assessment study. The problems and technologies (or methods) must first be identified, results from assessment studies (and eventual preliminary studies) synthesized and the resulting information disseminated and adopted. A further important point is to observe the real impact of the information produced.
